A Perfect Holiday Outing
Celebrating Strauss with Maestro Brousseau, the Ottawa Classical Choir & a String Ensemble
What could be better than to celebrate the holiday season with a concert dedicated to the beloved waltzes of Johann Strauss II? The Ottawa Classical Choir (OCC) is delighted to present just such an elegant evening with Maestro Michel Brousseau directing the orchestra and the choirs of the New World Philharmonic Society of which the OCC is part of, on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 7:30 pm at Saint Brigid’s Centre for the Arts (310 St. Patrick St.) in Ottawa.
The concert, given under the patronage of His Excellency Arno Riedel, Austrian Ambassador to Canada, was a great success. Considered as one of the “Twelve must-see Ottawa holiday concerts” by CBC, our concert attracted over 500 people who braved the frigid cold weather to enjoy an evening of beautiful Viennese music.
